Horns to Havana has been working with Conservatorio Amadeo Roldán since our beginning in 2010 and we've seen their jazz orchestra flourish in the past few years!
The Amadeo Roldán Conservatory is Cuba’s premiere academy of music. The school was founded in 1903 and is located in a lovely neoclassical building in Central Havana, where it has been housed since 1942. Distinguished musicians including Gonzalo Roig, Diego Bonilla and the great composer/orchestra leader/musician Amadeo Roldán it is named for have guided many of the most gifted and able musicians to come out of or remain in Cuba. Its influence extends around the world.
