Dear Friends of Horns to Havana,As Thanksgiving approaches, we like to reflect on all of the lives you have helped us to change in the seven years we have been pursuing our mission of music education and cultural exchange for Cuban music students, professors and repair artisans. We’re featuring some of these great stories in this newsletter and on our website, like that of our former student Jorge Ramirez, who is now a professor working with his former instructor Enrique Rodriguez, now the principal at Conservatorio Amadeo Roldán.In Havana, our programs continue to grow and have a lasting impact. In November and December our Instrument Artisans will be on the ground in Havana and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band - our partner from January’s Jazz Amistad New Orleans residency - will visit Conservatorio Amadeo Roldán and give a master class. For our 7th year anniversary, can you contribute $7 or $21 or $35 or $70 – or any amount – to ensure that the bridge we have been building gets stronger during these uncertain political times? With ongoing gratitude and hope,
Susan Sillins
