Dear Friends of Horns to Havana,We are still on a high! Last month we celebrated awards that our high school jazz band Orquesta Juvenil de Jazz de Cuba received for its performances at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Essentially Ellington Festival and honored our friend and advisor Chucho Valdés, who also received an award for his lifetime’s work. This bridge between legacy and new voices is at the heart of our work. We salute the network of friends and collaborators that make it possible to continue to provide pathways for new voices to develop their talent and become our future legacies. Please join us in our journey today with your contribution. With gratitude,
Susan Sillins
